A huge amount of THANKS goes out to the volunteers who endured being rain-soaked for hours and to the 34 teams who came out to prove that they "Got What It Takes!" Your commitment and dedication to Special Olympics New Jersey is MOST appreciated. We certainly couldn't have done it without you.
2014 TEAM RESULTS are available to download, see left sidebar. Team and Action Photos may be found on the Special Olympics NJ FLICKR SITE and the NJ LETR FLICKR SITE.
A Team captain leads the team through three competitions:
1) Top Fundraising team: Team who has handed-in the most $ by the day of the event. Teams must raise $1,200 minimum to compete. Fundraising incentives start at only $2,000 per team! See Important Due Dates and Deadlines to the left.
2) Fastest Pull: Team who has pulled the aircraft 12 feet in the least amount of time.
3) Lowest Combined Weight Pull: Lowest team weight to pull the aircraft 12 feet, within a two minute time limit.
Plane Pull competitions are continuous from 8:30am to approximately 1:00 pm.
The Plane Pull was first introduced in 1997 and has helped the NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run raise more than $2,000,000 each year for the athletes of Special Olympics New Jersey.
